Tikal National Park has clearly established access hours and admission modalities, with the objective of ensuring an orderly, safe experience that is respectful of the site’s cultural and natural heritage.
Regular access to the park is available every day of the year, including Christmas, New Year’s Day, Holy Week, and public holidays (except in cases of force majeure), according to the following official schedule:

There are special admission modalities that allow visitors to enter the park outside regular hours, designed for those who wish to experience Tikal at specific times of the day.
For these special admissions, it is mandatory to have a valid regular entrance ticket to the park, as well as the corresponding ticket for the tour.
In addition, visitors must be accompanied by an authorized guide. This service must be arranged independently by the visitor.
The admission system distinguishes between different types of visitors, in accordance with current regulations. National and foreign visitors are required to pay the established fee according to their respective category.
Admission to Tikal National Park is free for children under 10 years of age. Children who have already turned 10 years old must pay the corresponding admission fee. Senior visitors are also required to pay the regular admission fee.
